Saving Life and Limb

In 2007 I was involved in a collision when the driver of a small car failed to see my oncoming motorcycle outside Rangiora. My left arm bore the brunt of the accident breaking the ulna, smashing the radial head, and fair demolishing my hand. With the rapid response of the Westpac Chopper, the surgeons at Christchurch Hospital were able to operate and save my left hand. I now work training harness racing horses and play bass guitar in my spare time.  I am thankful every day for the chopper.
